National Trust venues near Aylsham
There are three national Trust venues near Aylsham:
Blickling Hall. www.nationaltrust.org.uk/blickling-estate/ A Jacobean mansion, probably best known as home to the Boleyn family. Also houses RAF world war II museum.
Felbrigg Hall www.nationaltrust.org.uk/felbrigg-hall/ Masses to see in the Hall itself, plus waymarked walks in the Great Wood, and beautiful walled gardens.
Sheringham Park www.nationaltrust.org.uk/sheringham-park/ designed in 1812 is the most complete example of Humphrey Repton’s work. A lovely place to go just to potter.
Remarkable for azeleas and rhododendrons in May/June, specimen trees, birds and butterflies, and a Bower! Waymarked routes, and visitors’ centre/cafe.
