Where to eat

Cafes and restaurants near Aylsham

Of course there is a wide variety of lovely places to eat in Norwich, and loads of interesting independent cafes, especially in The Norwich Lanes www.norwichlanes.co.uk Where there are lots of interesting places to explore .  Holt is an excellent place for a potter with plenty of breaks for seriously good  refreshments.  Along the coast at Wells, Blakeney, Morston, sheringham and Cromer there are plenty of good hostelries  .

We’ve listed here a few places close to home:

The Market square in Aylsham is only 10 mins walk for the Windmill.

In the Square is the Black Boys Hotel    Market Place, Aylsham, Norfolk NR11 6EH     www.blackboyshotel.co.uk        01263 732122  Now more a restaurant than a pub, good food, always busy – need to book.

Gate of India  Good, long established, attracts customers from outside Aylsham.  www.gateofindiaaylsham.co.uk                                     14 Market Place  NR11 6EH Telephone: 01263 734742/3

We also have a Pizza place now – in the old post office Stamp Pizza https://www.stamp.pizza/

The Unicorn Pub, just off the Square does pub grub, Sausage & chips, toasted sandwiches etc.

Just off the Square on Red Lion Street is The Old Tearooms  Good café, lovely cakes.  18a Red Lion Street, Aylsham,  NR11 6ER    01263 732112

A lovely new Parisien style wine bar  Bar 44: Cosy Wine Bar with Beers and Light Bites | Bar 44 for a little relaxed Aylsham chique.

Quite a pub/restaurant crawl emerging here!

The Feathers Pub  01263 732314 is just up the road from us. A Proper Local, no restaurant, but some snacks and occaisional Sunday Roast.
